Misssion
Major objective is to implement solutions in natural resource related development cooperation to improve livelihoods.

The core expertise is the nexus of natural resources management, people and development. Within nature resources in development cooperation, most experience accumulated initially was gained in community based sustainable forest resource management and agroforestry. Today we cover a wide range of expertise in natural resource management, support in international consulting business development and customized study tours to Europe. Kuchelmeister Consult is also very familiar with project cycle management concepts, tools and latest trends in development programming as applied by major public donors.

Company philosophy is based on the accumulated experience gained over nearly two decades as an independent one-man company. Through state-of knowledge reports (tropical hedges, urban forestry and development cooperation) Kuchelmeister Consult set milestones. We support innovations and success by helping our clients to tap into the expertise and resources through our services and networks. 1.  Rendering consulting services means first and foremost bringing the requirements of the customers into the center of the business.
2. Diversifying clients and expertises, but keeping a core competence is a precondition for making the company resilient.
   
3. It is a necessity to explore new business areas on a modest pilot level; up-scaling new business areas is only justified when the breakeven point has been reached in the new business area.
4. Outsourcing of service job performed remotely (nearshored and offshored) is a great opportunity for a one-person company to keep the costs for a high quality of services in check.
5. Alliances are the answer to keep the competitive edge of a small independent company, while participating in complex and large-scale projects.

Kuchelmeister Consult has successfully worked with diverse institutional clients by helping them carry out projects financed by bi- and multilateral donors, the European Commission, Development Banks (e.g. World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and Kredianstalt fuer Wiederaufbau, United Nations Organizations (FAO, IFAD, WFP and UNDP) and the private sector.
